The meeting was called to order by President Chet Blake at approximately 6:30 with 10 members and 1 guest, Ted Becker from the Eagles in attendance. Club Officers were introduced by the club President, Chet Blake:

Reports

VP –The Floats and Boats Event was a great success, both planes and boats were represented.

October meeting the Rebuilders contest will be judged. Planned events are December 12th will be the Christmas party held at the lodge. January 2nd will be the Freeze-In.

Secretary - The membership level at the present time is 31 plus 1 student members Robin Maas has joined the Buzzards.

Treasurer – Finances are in good shape, there is still money in the field improvement fund as well as money in reserves.  $610.00 is still allotted for field improvements per the budget.

Safety Officer – We’re safe. Nothing new to report

Newsletter Editor – Hard copies of the news letter are available, a number of copies have been sent to local hobby shops.

Field Manager – Jay reported on some of the projects that have been going on, Fertilization of the field will need to be done before winter as weather permits. The field has come a long way in such a short time. Thanks to all that have helped.

Web Master – Items, stories, pictures are needed. If you come across something of interest to you it might be the same to others so share send to Ron.  

OLD BUSINESS

Charging station was discussed and the body was asked about its usage and feedback. Please remember to turn it off before you leave the field. Planned for later are to place a roof over the table and a 12v power supply. Ron said the John Rennert may have some metal roofing to use.

Jay and Mark spread some tarps in the upper bard to help divert water, they are helping some but the roof is getting pretty bad.

Board met on 9-24-15 to adapt safety rules to align with the new field and lake usage, also to work out next year’s budget.

Christmas Party will be December 12th. Remember to invite friends from other clubs. Mark to send out notices to the other clubs.

A tinsel string has been added to the North runway near the road to help us track the approach heights. Reminder that with logging trucks, using the road you still want to be higher that the tinsel.

Jay proposed a garden cart or a large garden wagon to assist in moving planes and equipment to the pit area. Watch out a your local yard sales for one of these items.

NEW BUSINESS

Len, Mark and Jay spent some time moving more dirt to the pit area to fill in the low areas. It’s a work in progress but is seems to be working. Thanks to Len for the use of his tractors.

The revised Safety and Field rules were presented to the members. Motion to accept and passed.

The Arlington Eagles are losing their current field and as they were so gracious to us when we were working out field issues we wanted to extend the same to them. Motion made and it was passed. Chet will attend their meeting 10/20 to propose an agreement.

The 2016 budget was presented and discussed. There was a motion to accept and it passed. Dues for 2016 are set at $90.00

Bryan to talk to scouts to get a lake schedule. Lake is open to use.

October opens up nominations to the executive committee for next year. Start thinking about serving on the board or, for your nominations.

January 29th -31st will be the Hobby Expo, a motion was made to sponsor a table at $40.00 Motion passed.

Rebuilders contest: Ron presented his Fun Air 40. He totally rebuilt the wing and the plane has re-flown. Great Job Ron.

Announcements: It would be a good idea to have the GPS coordinates located at the field. Mark nominated his wife to make a sign with GPS coordinates and Elevation to be placed on frequency board.
